Debra is a Sr. Director of Behavioral Health Product with Optum Health which is the behavioral health arm of United Healthcare Insurance Company. Debra has been the clinical lead for Optum’s national substance use disorder (SUD) initiatives since 2012. Debra leads projects within Optum designed to improve access to evidence based services, such as the expansion of Optum’s MAT network and overseeing the 24/7 SUD helpline. Debra’s clinical background is in substance use treatment and was an addictions counselor prior to earning a PhD in organizational psychology. She is also an LCSW licensed in Florida and in New York.
